ORLANDO, Florida – A taste of old world Italy will arrive in Lake Buena Vista on August 1st, when V Pizza, an authentic Italian pizzeria brand known for artisan meals including pizza, wings, pasta and craft cocktails, opens its first Orlando location.
The restaurant will join a dozen others across Florida, Georgia and North Carolina serving up V Pizza’s fresh flavors and all-natural ingredients. Customers can expect pizza sauce made from hand-churned San Marzano tomatoes (only grown in the volcanic soil of Mt. Vesuvius), dough made from highly-refined 00 Italian wheat flour, and toppings like real bufala mozzarella and prosciutto di parma. All the food at V Pizza is cooked in specially-made Italian clay brick ovens, by Stefano Ferrera, which heat to 900 degrees for the perfect crust and sear.
“We chose this location because we know the people here love good food. Orlando’s food IQ is one of the highest in the nation,” said V Pizza owner Paul Scott. “The locals here are well-traveled, understand food quality, and appreciate authenticity, just like we do. It’s a natural fit.”
The team at V Pizza spares no expense when it comes to selecting the highest quality ingredients, most of which are imported from Italy. “Regardless of the cost or difficulty of sourcing items, we’ll get the best items in the world for our Neapolitan pizza, wings and cocktails,” Scott explained. “That’s what makes us unapologetically authentic.”
Unlike Chicago-style or New York-style pizza, which uses firmer and thicker dough meant to be eaten by the slice, the true pizza Napoletana served at V Pizza is made with super-fine Italian flour. Orlando Franchise Owner Trenton Postell says this allows diners to enjoy a full personal-sized pizza without feeling overly full.
“The hallmark is that a normal person can have three, four, five slices and never feel bad after. The pizza is fully cooked in our 900 degree ovens, which stops the process of yeast growth,” he explained. “It’s better for you with all organic ingredients, no preservatives, and the quality is second to none. We’re all about quality food and quality service here, not quantity.”
Postell has owned and run small business franchises for over a decade, from childcare centers to dog grooming and the Impact Legacy Group. But he’s held a special place in his heart for V Pizza ever since his childcare center was the first organization to partner with the restaurant’s nonprofit, V for Victory, which supports local families going through cancer treatments.
“Paul and the team at V Pizza have always been like family to me. We really are a family, and that’s why family service is one of our top priorities,” Postell said. “My passion is people. I’m excited to open this restaurant to lead something I feel has purpose while providing a high-quality product.”
As with all V Pizza locations, diners will have the opportunity to add donations to their checks for V for Victory. One hundred percent of customer donations go toward providing meals and every day services for local families battling cancer. Last month alone, V Pizza provided 2,109 meals with a retail value of $39,874 to V for Victory families dining across their 10 locations. These services will soon be available to families in Orlando as well.
While this is the brand’s first step into the Orlando market, Scott and Postell say it won’t be the last. “This is just the beginning,” Scott said. “We’re getting our name out there and hope to expand to more locations in the Orlando area and beyond very soon.”
The 4,300 square foot restaurant will host around 160 diners at a time, including a dedicated bar and patio. For menus, hours, and directions to V Pizza Lake Buena Vista, visit VPizza.com.
