Short company description:
Stephanie Pyren Studios or SP Studios is a one person studio working with commissions for fine arts, book illustrations, fashion illustrating, animation, and murals. I am an established fine artist having worked nationally and internationally working in all medias and have a strong clientele. I have had extensive background in animation, 45 years with all the major Los Angeles studios as character designer, art director, Background painter and designer. My mural in Barbizon France depicts the painter’s village for 35 years! I am currently commissioned by READ USA to illustrate Jeremy’s journey through Jacksonville looking for leaders. I have had 6 children’s book published and working on the 2nd of a series of my own book writing and illustrating. I am also now President of the Jacksonville National League of American Women Jacksonville branch.
How do you define success?
I would say success is loving what you do and to continue to learn, read, and explore new ideas. Success is hard work, a quote from Barbra Streisand’s song in my case as an artist “Art isn’t Easy” and that is true. One should know there will always ups and downs but the creative force in anything you do has to be present and one never should give up. Love of life and your spirit and doing the best you are capable of accomplishing. I went to France to do copies of the many artists and visiting the art museums one can learn the brush stokes, color pallet and so much more. An incredible learning process I had! Never stop learning!!!!
How makes your business unique?
I work one on one with my clients, whether it is portrait work, book illustration or animation work. They have to be satisfied with the work. For example: I had a show in Miami called the art of Fake where I did 17 copies of master paintings all were sold and now some in San Tropez France.
