Why did you choose your industry?Growing up working in the trade industry as a kid with my family. I love working with my hands and creating beautiful spaces.
Who are your typical clients?Homeowners, property managers, contractors
What do you like best about being in this industry?I love a client happy with their project. I also love bringing out the true potential of a space and create the “wow” factor.
What are common problems you see?Lack of craftsmanship.. We also see a shortage of talent and contractors paying attention to detail. I find that may do a great job, but the challenge to keep growing talks a toll on the quality of work.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Do your homework on the companies you are going to work with. Don’t be fooled by price.. You want value. You want to get a quality job at a fair price and work with a contractor that makes the project enjoyable.
When is your busy season?Spring and Summer for outdoor projects.
What keeps you up at night?Work/life balance. As a father and husband, you try to disconnect from the business and focus on the important things. It’s not always easy.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?Word of mouth is our most powerful tool. We are dipping our toe in social media and additional marketing outlets.
How involved are you in the community?Right now, not enough. We have 5 kids and two businesses, so time is very tight. Hope to do more in the future.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Prepare yourself for the most difficult thing you will ever do. You need to be extremely self-motivated and willing to continue learning. But, it can be extremely rewarding!
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Travel, time with family
