What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?Standing out in a crowded consulting space and reaching mid-sized businesses before chaos hits—many wait too long to seek help. Our challenge is building urgency and visibility so leaders recognize the need for triage before it's a full-blown crisis.

What is your approach to helping clients identify and solve key challenges?We have a propriary diagnostics tool we use to do initial triage (our podcast is called ‘The Business Emergency Room’), our clients are typically ever evolving and operating in fast changing and devloping business environments, we believe in identifying the multitude of afflictions and ailments, but then narrow such down to the 2-4 main leavers, which when ‘cured’ would refocus an organization back on the right track to ‘go it alone’ again.

How do you tailor your coaching or consulting style to different industries?We tailor at client level – as part of our propriatery diagnostics process we establish what capability and capacity exists in the client’s organization today to understand what gaps therein may need to be addressed by us or additional resources to turn the situation around. Sometimes this includes industry specific subject matter experts, interim leaders or functional or process specialists. If a mature business management process or style exists we also try to operate within those confines – e.g. an organization operating in 6-sigma.

What are the most common misconceptions about consulting?That we want to stick around as long as possible regardless the work.

How do you measure the success of your client engagements?People Engagement and turnaround of their key performance indicators.

What trends are influencing the future of consulting and coaching?AI tools, increased ‘self help’ and ‘self diagnosis’, increased focus / value from ‘lived experience’.

What’s the most rewarding part of your work?Turning energy levels of the team around to a re-engaged – if we do our work well stress, discord and frustration levels are replaced with renewed commitment, inspiration and constructive collaboration
