About Scrub Club BeachesScrub Club roots for the underdog, like Phil, my pit-mix rescue who inspires every bath I give. Some underdogs are anxious pups who cannot handle traditional salons; others are new bathers learning the ropes. You can take the teacher out of the classroom (though I still teach Spanish at UNF Tuesdays and Thursdays), but you can’t take the heart for coaching and care out of the teacher… even under a groomer’s cape. For now, Scrub Club offers in-home baths and pop-up spa events around the Beaches, but the dream is a Jax Beach ranch: half rescue home, half learning salon for all of “Phil’s friends.”

What differentiates you from the competition?Salon leads have the skills & tools to whip even the most stubborn poodle into shape on the grooming table, but they often lack the time to truly groom their new bathers & stylists. I provide compassionate coaching & gentle, trust-based pet handling.

What are your top selling services or products that your company offers?I provide gentle in-home bathing for bullied breeds, like my rescue: dogs who thrive when met where they are, not overwhelmed by salon noise. I speak their language, offering calm, compassionate care @ their pace & pop-up convenience for pet parents.

If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?You don’t have to follow someone else’s checklist. I meet each dog where he is: no upcharges, no breed rules, just care. Underdogs deserve the same pampering as poodles, whether it’s a pit bull at home or a pop-up bath while you’re out living life!.

What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?Continuing to grow business earnestly and authentically when it feels like the world moves through checklists and upsells on conveyer belts.
