If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?Every challenge can be overcome. I love finding creative ways of solving problems and making progress. There’s always an answer - frequently more than one. You just need a fresh set of eyes and a positive mindset.

What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?Increase in the quality and quantity of the competition and the Need to generate leads on one side Handling the amount of work on the fundraising side

How do you measure the success of your client engagements? Money is oxygen to a nonprofit. Without it will die. In fact, I could make the argument that money is more important than mission. Think about that. If you have no money, you have no mission. Success for us is defined by a nonprofit meeting its goals including a paid staff with competitive salaries and benefits to carry out its mission.

What trends are influencing the future of consulting and coaching? We are educating philanthropists so that they understand the need to build capacity just as we do in the for profit world. We need to raise the salaries and benefits of employees in the nonprofit world to compete for top talent with the for profit sector. We also need board members to understand that nonprofits are not all “mom and pop” operations. Many are or could be sophisticated organizations that need advice not operational direction from their board members.
