Swim Lesson Suzi LLC/ Doga/ The Edge Beyond
What trends are shaping the health and wellness industry right now? People are moving away from one-size-fits-all fitness and looking for deeper alignment, nervous-system support, breath, recovery, water safety, mobility, and emotional well-being. Wellness now has to be personal, practical, and connected to real life.
How do you approach holistic well-being with your clients or audience? I look at the whole person: body, breath, fear, confidence, energy, mindset, and environment. Whether I’m teaching swim, yoga, Doga, or The Edge Beyond, I help people feel safe and joyful and loving and in their body first. From there, real confidence and transformation can happen.
What challenges do you see in helping people sustain healthy habits? The biggest challenge is helping people stop thinking wellness has to be extreme. Most people need simple, repeatable practices that feel good enough to keep doing. Breath, movement, water, presence, and consistency change everything. People think they could never get to what they see on social media. Or how can they even start if they are over 100 pounds heavy? What could I do that I could do all the time forever??? That isn’t going to take over my life…like needing to go somewhere at a certain time to get the exercise in. That is what makes The Edge Beyond different.
How do you tailor programs for different fitness or health needs? I watch, listen, and adapt in real time. A child afraid of water, an adult learning to swim, an athlete, or someone seeking alignment all need different language and pacing. I meet people where they are and help them move forward with confidence. I always teach someone like it is their first class. Check all my boxes. No one moves on who hasn’t completely the steps before correctly.
What role does technology play in supporting wellness today? Technology can support education, access, scheduling, and connection, but it should never replace presence. The real work still happens in the body. I use technology as a tool, while keeping breath, movement, intuition, and human connection at the center.
Can you share a story of transformation you've witnessed? Watching adults learn to swim…..that is very amazing.
What motivates you in this industry every day? Not stopping being me and continuing to get my ideas to the world.
