About C12 Business ForumsBrian Barry, J.D. is a “recovering lawyer” on mission in Jacksonville to equip Christian owners and executives to build great businesses for a greater purpose in Jesus Christ. Each month around Jacksonville, Christian business owners and executives meet in confidential, invitation-only forums to solve real challenges, sharpen leadership, and grow stronger together. C12 Business Forums is the world’s largest peer-learning community for Christian CEOs, business owners, and executives of growth-stage companies. Operating for over 35 years, C12 forums meet in more than 160 major metropolitan areas and guided by over 250 full-time Chairs, C12 serves 5000 members across 5 continents.
What differentiates you from the competition?Full-time Chairs like myself who guide and counsel C12 members without any conflict of interest from needing to offer secondary consulting services and other ventures.
What are your top selling services or products that your company offers?Full-time Chairs like myself who guide members through Business as a Ministry process. Our peer advisory forums have Jesus Christ at the center, MBA-level curriculum, and the world's largest community of Christian business owner peers.
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?Do whatever Jesus Christ tells you to do with the business you steward. Do ministry in your business with excellence and intention. C12 business forums help you do just that and you won't do it alone.
What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?Discovering qualified Christian business owners and executives and then helping them discover why they need to create margin in their overburdened schedule for C12.

What is your approach to helping clients identify and solve key challenges? Ask the right questions. Listen actively. Prayer as a first response.

How do you tailor your coaching or consulting style to different industries? Using my background as a business lawyer to many clients in many different industries.

What are the most common misconceptions about consulting? Consultants tell you what to do and then leave. I help clients discover their best solution and then walk shoulder-to-shoulder with my C12 members through difficult business and personal situations.

How do you measure the success of your client engagements? Tri-value model: economic, team and spiritual value add.

What trends are influencing the future of consulting and coaching? Information and knowledge are cheap due to AI, but that makes wisdom and truth more valuable and hard to discern on your own.

What’s the most rewarding part of your work? Seeing the switch flip on my client’s business and personal life when they start implementing Business as a Ministry steps of faith. Watching breakthroughs with clients. Witnessing God show up and show out in seemingly impossible situations.

What skills do you think are essential for future consultants or coaches? Know and love Jesus. Be curious. Seek to add value and make connections.
