Patrick Heatherington grew up in Orange Park where he graduated from the automotive vocational program of Orange Park High School. He then went to Nashville, Tennessee to attend the Nashville Auto Diesel College. After a few months, realizing this was more of a hobby, he returned to Jacksonville. He then enrolled at St. John’s River Community College.
Soon thereafter he began his banking career in a grocery store branch of SouthTrust Bank. After a robust seven years at SouthTrust/Wachovia, Patrick migrated to Synovus Bank where he had a distinguished tenure of 17-years.
Last July, Patrick left Synovus to join PrimeSouth Bank, a privately held community bank based in Waycross, Georgia. Patrick is the Jacksonville Market President, and he opened the Jacksonville office in December in Deerwood Park.
He graduated from the University of North Florida with his bachelor’s degree in 2008. He also completed additional studies at the University of Georgia Banking School in 2017-2019 and the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking 2023-2025.
Patrick has demonstrated a record of civic involvement. He is a past president of Jax Chamber West Council, Southside Businessmen’s Club, and, most recently, Jacksonville Clay Target Sports for the past 5 years. Patrick resides in Deer Creek with his wife, Nichole, sons Evan and Micah, and daughter Quinn.
