President, Angela Spears Communication

As president of Angela Spears Communication, Angela believes great storytelling is a crucial aspect in everyone’s life. She is utilizing her 30 years of broadcasting and public relations experience to focus on “The Power of Your Voice.”

Angela began her professional career in the television industry. Angela was an anchor/reporter for the NBC/ABC affiliate in Jacksonville. She reported for the morning show and anchored the noon show. She also worked for the CBS affiliate in Waco, Texas as an anchor/reporter.

She has previously served as public relations senior executive for the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and community engagement officer and special assistant to former Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown. She also served as deputy director of communications for the mayor and the city of Jacksonville. Angela has worked as a community liaison for DaVita, a leading kidney care provider in the United States. She has served as the public information officer for the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office in Yulee, Florida. 

Angela also enjoys working with young people and guiding the next generation of storytellers as a part-time professor at the University of North Florida (UNF). She has taught various courses, including Public Relations Writing, Media Literacy, Advanced Writing for the Media and Social Media for Communication. In addition, Angela has facilitated numerous workshops focused on topics ranging from building your personal brand to effective communication within the workplace.
