What is the biggest change in marketing that you see coming in the next 2 years?
I can see a few big things potentially changing very soon. One of the biggest things I believe will happen is actually doing less and becoming more focused as marketers. For years now, digital marketing has taken a saturation approach. We have to have all the platforms. Every piece of marketing gets run through our well-oiled machine of algorithms as we spend millions to be sure that our clients are covered everywhere. What I see coming and what I believe is needed, is a realization that less can be more. Sure, we have the ability to make sure Joe Consumer see our ad every time he opens his phone, but is that really what is best for our client? The truth is that not every client needs everything and many things we have depended on for results have changed. Facebook isn’t right for every business. SEM doesn’t have the ROI it had ten years ago. Consumers don’t want to be annoyed. They want to be engaged. To do that today, I believe that we will have to do less and do better.
What makes your company unique?
We are unique in a few ways. One we are a women owned business and we champion for local organizations that support and empower women. One of our favorites is a local domestic violence shelter. We have partnered with them to provide support and work as a team to develop and promote responsible domestic violence policies in other businesses.
As far as what sets us apart in our approach, I would say it’s how involved we are with each client. I am personally involved from start to finish and we begin with getting a holistic view of the client’s needs and where they want to go. Many companies just look at the things they specialize in such as social media or SEM. We believe that everything is connected. We want users to have a. great experience from start to finish. So, we look at every aspect of the business from a user-first standpoint and then develop a plan for our clients. As a result, not only do our clients find their entire marketing game being elevated but our team has learned to become nimble.
