On Advertising Champions, our host Tony Stanol interviews bright and engaging members of the digital advertising and media community. On this segment, Tony speaks with Pete Carter of Creative Haystack.
I am a 41 year veteran of P&G. I retired in 2021 and started a advertising search, brand positioning, and advertising development consultancy. Some of my clients have been Sazerac, Zevo, Legoland, Dudewipes, and Revlon.
How do you define success?
Helping brands build their business through competitive positioning, agency creative, and advertising campaigns. I help create advertising that SELLS stuff.
How did you get started in your field or work?
41 years of experience working on P&G brands and with creative agencies around the world.
What’s one thing we should know that makes your company unique?
I bring a client’s perspective to all of my work. I have a “no pitch” agency search process. I bring rigor and creativity to positioning work. And I bring several decades of advertising development experience to all campaign work.
What was the biggest obstacle you had to overcome in your business?
Balancing my “retirement” with client demands. I have to say “no” to potential clients.
