Welcome to the five minute salute. I’m your host, Chris Budihas. Today’s segment is sponsored by the military affairs and Veterans department for the City of Jacksonville. Harrison Conners, the team squared away our veterans with the benefits. They earned their military service. Talking about veterans on the line, we got Joshua, who’s with the Special Operations Transition Foundation.

Speaker 1
Sir, how are you?

Speaker 1
No. Thanks for coming on. I appreciate you. Obviously, your service and nation, we’re going to jump into it. So a little bit of background on who you were originally from, in what you do in the military.

Speaker 2
Why?

Speaker 2
Yeah.

Speaker 2
Yeah.

Speaker 2
Back in.

Speaker 1
Wow. Congratulations. That’s awesome. As my dad retired command master chief, you say the only people that wear stars are sir. Majors and generals. So congratulations. That’s huge. So? So special operations transition foundation. What is the organization and how did you get involved? And what are you doing now with the organization? Yeah.

Speaker 2
Operator. Sorry about that. Yeah.

Speaker 2
Yeah.

Speaker 1
How long is the foundation been around here? Okay.

Speaker 2
Yeah.

Speaker 1
Okay.

Speaker 2
Yeah.

Speaker 1
Wow. And.

Speaker 2
Yeah. The.

Speaker 1
That’s wonderful. And I love the fact you said hiring partner. So you’re looking at a partnership. So somebody listens to this interview and they have a business and they’re interested. And in a hiring special operator. So they bring a lot of talent to, to, to their business. How do they how do they engage with you guys? How do they, you know, who do they talk to and how does that conversation occur?

Speaker 2
Yeah.

Speaker 1
Okay.

Speaker 2
Yeah. And so it sounds like unlike other organizations who have like classes, our courses start, you know, at certain times of the year, you guys are you’re constantly bringing folks out. People are coming in the pipeline. People are going out with the pipeline. Is that correct?

Speaker 1
Yeah.

Speaker 2
Yeah.

Speaker 1
Yeah. I.

Speaker 2
Yeah.

Speaker 1
Yeah. I appreciate you articulating that the way you do it, because it’s it really is. You meet the client or the individual where they’re at, and then you can speed it up or slow it down based on their, you know, capacity, capabilities. And then obviously, if they’re still in the military, you know, their work environment and such that that occurs there and it’s not industrialized where it’s like you just I’m down here in Florida, it’s like there’s like three types of houses that are just thrown up constantly.

Speaker 1
You know, it’s not industrial, right? So that’s awesome. So when folks take a look at this interview and they see what you guys are doing, time, treasure and talent come up with the nonprofit space, how can folks help?

Speaker 2
Yeah.

Speaker 1
And you.

Speaker 2
Yeah. Me.

Speaker 1
You. When you think about.

Speaker 2
You know.

Speaker 1
I, I.

Speaker 1
That’s huge. Hey. So, Josh, one more time as we close out, how do folks find you and how they find the organization? Yeah. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2
That’s great. We’re encourage folks to reach out to you, and see, you know, time, shares or talent, how they can help. And also hopefully we’ll get this, you know, hopefully we will. We will get this out to the veteran community. You can you can listen to this, interview. And then they have folks in our network, our them specifically through the go to the program.

Speaker 2
They they go make contact with you guys. So thanks for your service, the nation. Thanks for doing for our veterans. This matters a lot. And, look forward to we’ll catch up. Maybe, late spring. Come back on and then tell us how we’re doing. And if you know, how else can America help in this space? All right.
