What nonprofit do you have a heart for and how do you support it?
The Kelly Miller Smith Foundation. The mission is to advance the effectiveness of social justice activism and activists through engagement, education, preparation and activation, as inspired by the learnings and legacy of Kelly Miller Smith, Sr..
What’s your favorite way to get involved in the community?
Every year for the past 10 years I have been a part of the room at the Inn with my church. We bring in 14 unhoused men, feed and cloth and pray with them once a week.
What is the most important lesson you’ve learned over your career?
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned in my career is the importance of betting on myself—trusting my vision, owning my value, and having the confidence to pursue opportunities even when the path isn’t guaranteed.
