How long have you been in your industry?10 years
Why did you choose your industry? The wellness practices and coaching techniques I offer were inspired by my own wellbeing journey. I have experienced anxiety and burnout that left me overwhelmed and unclear about my career path. By learning to calm my nervous system with breathwork, mindful movement, sound healing and Reiki, I was able to release stress and reconnect to my purpose. I help others feel calmer and find what lights them up to live a vibrant and fulfilling life.
Who are your typical clients?I am open to working with anyone seeking inner healing and transformation. My clients include entrepreneurs, members of nonprofit organizations, healers, teachers, new moms and more.
What do you like best about being in this industry?Coaches have an incredible opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of their clients. Witnessing people find a sense of peace, release old thought patterns, and experience a “lightbulb moment” is what energizes me and fills me with gratitude and purpose each day.
What are common problems you see?I believe that there is no “one size fits all” approach when it comes to wellness coaching. I have seen coaches describe their method as a formula to achieve the best results, but I find that everyone’s journey is unique, so coaching should be too. I use curiosity and intuition to help clients overcome barriers and take meaningful action on their dreams.
What advice/tips do you have for clients? You can’t pour from an empty cup. Taking the time for self-care is crucial to replenish your energy, find inspiration and create the life you have always dreamed of. The first step is to learn tools to regulate your nervous system, such as body scan meditation or box breathing. This allows you to quiet the noise of the mind, feel centered, and show up more fully in all aspects of your life.
When is your busy season?January, spring and summer months are often when I begin working with new one-on-one clients to set goals and build forward momentum. I encourage people to book a discovery call any time to see if my offerings are the right fit for them. I also host workshops and wellness events both virtually and in-person throughout the year.
What keeps you up at night?I used to lose sleep stressing about my to-do list, an upcoming meeting or past conversations. After I started meditating consistently, I was able to let go of the anxious thoughts at night and simply rest.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?Word of mouth and one-on-one outreach has been the most impactful way for me to grow my business. That being said, I am grateful for online tools like newsletters, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Zoom to share mindfulness practices, tips and information with people all over the world.
How involved are you in the community?I host free and donation-based wellness events for the San Diego community to experience yoga, meditation, breathwork, sound healing and Reiki. I provide accessible classes for adults, families and children.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?I volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club and resonate with their mission of enabling young people to reach their full potential. With Clubs all throughout the country, they provide resources, leadership skills and learning opportunities for children.
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Be authentic — whether on social media or in real life. Understand your “why” and bring a sense of genuine curiosity to each session. Create boundaries with your energy and time to avoid burnout and stay inspired. Don’t be afraid to try something new and learn as you go. Every experience is an opportunity for growth.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?I love spending time outdoors hiking, practicing yoga or going to the beach. I feel the most calm and centered when I am in nature.
