Why did you choose your industry?We had the opportunity to develop a - new at the time - franchise concept in several states and jumped on it.
Who are your typical clients?General public, retail traffic who eat at fast-casual restaurants.
What do you like best about being in this industry?It's always busy and changing
What are common problems you see?It's always busy and changing...Labor costs are the biggest enemy to the restaurant business these days.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?We don't have clients, but if someone were to ask about going into the restaurant business, I'd suggest that they make sure to have something unique to offer or be the best-in-category.
When is your busy season?Spring and summer
What keeps you up at night?Labor issues. The quality of labor and the cost.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?We found that we needed to develop something that could sell outside of our restaurants and that it would not require us to employ our own staff to make it work.
How involved are you in the community?We help local school groups and teams with their small fund-raising projects.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?Boise Rescue Mission
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?If someone were to ask about going into the restaurant business, I'd suggest that they make sure to have something unique to offer or find a way to be the best-in-category before moving forward.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Spending time with our grandkids and traveling.
