How long have you been in your industry?6 years
Why did you choose your industry? We chose the laundromat industry because it’s an essential, recession-resilient business that directly serves working families and underserved communities. At Laundry Luv, we saw the opportunity to elevate the experience through modern, clean facilities, community engagement, and literacy programs for children — turning an everyday chore into a chance to make a positive local impact.
Who are your typical clients? We are now franchising the business. Our typical clients are purpose-driven entrepreneurs seeking a scalable, service-based business with strong cash flow, recurring revenue, and community impact. Many are first-time business owners, veterans, or multi-unit investors who share our passion for delivering an elevated laundromat experience while making a difference in the neighborhoods they serve.
What do you like best about being in this industry?I love that this industry allows us to meet a real, everyday need while creating opportunities for community impact. It’s rewarding to build welcoming spaces where families feel cared for — and to empower entrepreneurs through franchising to succeed while giving back locally.
What are common problems you see?The laundromat industry often suffers from outdated facilities, poor customer service, and a lack of community engagement. Many locations feel transactional and uninviting. There’s also a common failure to leverage technology for operational efficiency and customer convenience — leaving room for brands like Laundry Luv to truly stand out.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Focus on following the proven system, stay engaged in your local community, and commit to operational excellence from day one. Success in this business is about consistency — clean facilities, friendly service, and smart marketing. Be coachable, ask questions, and lean into the support we provide. When you lead with heart and hustle, the results follow.
When is your busy season? Our busiest season is generally September through May
What keeps you up at night?Ensuring we maintain the balance between rapid franchise growth and protecting the integrity of our brand and experience. I’m always thinking about how we can better support our franchisees, stay ahead of industry shifts, and continue delivering on our promise to the communities we serve.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business? We focus on telling a clear and authentic story — highlighting our elevated laundromat experience, community engagement, and franchise opportunity. We use a mix of digital marketing, franchise lead portals, strategic partnerships, and in-person events to connect with purpose-driven entrepreneurs who align with our mission. Referrals and strong word-of-mouth from existing owners are also key.
How involved are you in the community?Community involvement is at the heart of what we do. Every Laundry Luv store includes a children’s reading center, where we give books away for free to promote childhood literacy. We also host Free Laundry Days, backpack giveaways, turkey donations at Thanksgiving, and holiday events like Photos with Santa. For us, it’s about being more than a business — it’s about being a true community partner.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?Freed People - they rescue women and children from sexual slavery
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Understand that this is a service business first. Success comes from showing up consistently — keeping your facility clean, your team engaged, and your customers cared for. Follow the system, trust the process, and lean on your franchisor’s experience. Most importantly, stay connected to your ‘why’ — because when you lead with purpose, profits follow.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Travel with family, spending time with friends, being in nature, growing myself into the man I want to become, and doing hard things on purpose.
