How long have you been in your industry?13 years
Why did you choose your industry?I’ve spent my career in behavioral health—initially as a clinician, then as a leader and consultant. I chose this space because mental health providers deserve better tools and business models to support the life-saving work they do. ClinicMind allows me to merge my clinical experience with scalable technology and M&A strategy.
Who are your typical clients?Behavioral health practices—ranging from solo practitioners to PE-backed multi-site groups—who need scalable solutions for EHR, billing, credentialing, and patient engagement. I also consult with investors seeking operational due diligence or integration strategy in the behavioral health space.
What do you like best about being in this industry? It’s personal and purpose-driven. I love that we can directly improve provider well-being, patient outcomes, and business performance—all through smarter systems and more thoughtful leadership.
What are common problems you see?Underinvestment in infrastructure, fragmented workflows, provider burnout, and poor integration of clinical and financial systems. Most tools aren’t built for the realities of behavioral healthcare.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Think beyond compliance—build systems that support scale, patient experience, and clinical outcomes. Prioritize data visibility, especially during periods of rapid growth or transition.
When is your busy season?Q1 for implementation planning and payer changes; Q4 for growth strategy, M&A prep, and year-end reporting.
What keeps you up at night?Ensuring that behavioral health providers—especially smaller or under-resourced ones—aren’t left behind in a tech-first healthcare economy. I want our systems to be as accessible as they are powerful.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?Through industry speaking, webinars, conference engagements, and strategic partnerships. At ClinicMind, we focus on results-driven marketing that shows how our platform supports revenue growth and better outcomes in behavioral health.
How involved are you in the community?I mentor early-career clinicians, speak at industry events, and support advocacy efforts that push for innovation, equity, and sustainability in mental health care.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?NAMI – they’ve been instrumental in advocacy and reducing stigma, and I’ve partnered with them across several initiatives to increase access and awareness.
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Know your “why” and stay close to the people delivering care. Behavioral health is nuanced, and success comes from deeply understanding both the clinical and operational landscape.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Spending time with my family, especially cheering on my son at his soccer matches, traveling, and exploring the intersection of leadership, wellness, and impact.
