About Demons Behind MeDemons Behind Me is an inspirational clothing line that started in Jacksonville Beach, FL in 2009. My business partner and I came up with the idea one Sunday afternoon talking about our past tattoos. Chris has a random tattoo of a demon tearing out of his calf muscle and I asked him what it was all about. He simply said, “I put the tattoo on the back of my calf because I put my demons behind me.” The light bulbs went off and we have been brain-storming ever since, creating hats, t shirts and more for men and women. Our message is a positive one, understanding that many people struggle with demons or obstacles of multiple sorts, but we can all work to put them behind us. We appreciate your support in helping us to share our message.
What differentiates you from the competition?We have a very hardcore, edgy look, but our message and mantra are completely positive.
What are your top selling services or products that your company offers?Our Demons Behind Me message is what sets us apart. Just like dressing for the job we want, we need to dress for the life we want. When we wear positive sayings, they become more than a saying, they become a mantra and words to live by.
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?You are not your past. When you wear Demons Behind Me you embrace that truth. Once we embrace that truth, we are able to move forward.
What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?Finding a new space we are able to continue to grow into. We are about maxed out at our current location.

How are you adapting to the shift toward online shopping? That is roughly 90% of our business.

What strategies are you using to enhance the in-store experience? Occasionally we offer in-store discounts, specials, and/or contests.

How do you handle changing consumer demands? We are regularly engaging with our customers and followers and adjusting our offerings based on the changing demands.

What role does data play in your retail strategy? Data is extremely important for us especially for forecasting, inventory management, and marketing spend.

How do you manage supply chain challenges in retail? We always produce as much in house as possible. For the items we are not able to produce in house we try to have 2-3 different suppliers to ensure someone is able to come through.

What makes your brand stand out in a crowded market? It is all about the Demons Behind Me mantra. Without that we are just another clothing brand.

What trends do you see shaping the future of retail? The old ways of seasonal drops seem to be done. Customers are used to new items nearly everyday. Because of this, we need to keep up with the changing demands and expectations by being very skilled with forecasting, testing, and just in time inventory.
