Annual event brings the community together to celebrate military service and college football rivalry
For Immediate Release – JACKSONVILLE, FL, December 8, 2025 – The City of Jacksonville and the Military Affairs and Veterans Department, in partnership with the US Naval Academy Alumni Association – Jacksonville Chapter and the West Point Society of North Florida, is proud to host a public watch party for the Army-Navy football game on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at VyStar Ballpark. This spirited event is part of the city’s annual Celebration of Valor Observance honoring military service and bringing the community together in support of veterans.
The Army-Navy game, known as one of the most storied rivalries in college football, will be shown live at the ballpark with gates opening at 2 PM and kickoff at 3 PM. Admission is just a $5 cash donation at the door, with 100% of proceeds supporting veterans. Free parking is available in Lot P, and food and beverages will be available for purchase on-site. The U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Division Swing Band will be onsite providing live musical entertainment.
“This event isn’t just about football, it’s about honoring the service and sacrifice of our veterans and active-duty military,” said Harrison Conyers, Director of the Military Affairs and Veterans Department. “We’re proud to partner with local military alumni associations to create a day of unity, recognition, and fun for the entire community.”
The watch party, sponsored in part by the Wounded Warrior Project and Superior Fence & Rail, Inc., is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend. The event provides a meaningful opportunity to show appreciation for those who have served while enjoying one of America’s most patriotic sporting events.
