First Coast Cultural Center is looking for local artisans to exhibit and sell their handmade wares at the first Spring Artisan Festival on March 28, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 6000B Sawgrass Village Circle, Ponte Vedra, FL, 32082.
“Our goal is to showcase artisans in our community, and they keep 100% of the sales,” according to Kimberly Sheridan, FCCC’s Events and Fundraising Manager. “It’s also an opportunity for visitors to learn more about the Cultural Center, which recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, and how we support artists and offer an entrance into the arts world with classes, programs, exhibitions, and various events.”
This vibrant event will primarily take place in FCCC’s downstairs indoor space and outdoors, where each vendor will be assigned one parking lot space. The total cost for an outdoor space is $100 for future members and $80 for current members, and indoors, the spots are $150 for future members and $125 for current members.
Categories include watercolor artists, acrylic painters, jewelry makers, and glass artisans. Sheridan is also looking to add quilters, seamstresses, ceramicists, textile workers, and more to this list. “We are eager to see what kind of art new vendors will bring to the festival.”
Sheridan says artisans are responsible for bringing all items needed for setup, including tables, tents, and signs. Additionally, vendors are asked to advertise for their booths, and FCCC will spread awareness through e-news, social media, and press-release avenues.
The Artisan Festival is open to the public, with a suggested donation of $5 per person, and no tickets are needed. The deadline to book a spot is March 14. Reach out to Sheridan at [email protected] with any questions. View booth details and book a booth for the event HERE.
