From Your Father is a Nashville-based nonprofit that supports children and their mothers navigating life without a father in the home by providing practical resources, safe spaces, and community so families feel seen, supported, and not alone.
What is the most important lesson you’ve learned over your career?
The most important lesson I’ve learned over my career is the power of people. God never called us to do life alone. Whether it’s raising children, building an organization, or pursuing the dreams placed on our hearts, we are meant to do it in community. I’ve learned that the right people around you can multiply impact, carry you through difficult seasons, and help bring vision to life in ways you could never accomplish on your own.
What nonprofit do you have a heart for and how do you support it?
The nonprofit closest to my heart is From Your Father, which I founded. I grew up in a single-parent home, and that experience shaped my calling to make sure children and their mothers navigating life without a father in the home have a community around them. I support the work by leading the organization, building partnerships, and creating programs that provide practical resources and safe spaces so families feel seen, supported, and not alone.
What’s your favorite way to get involved in the community?
My favorite way to get involved in the community is bringing people together around something meaningful. Whether it’s organizing service projects, hosting community events, or connecting volunteers with families who need support, I love creating spaces where people can show up for each other and build real relationships.
If you could be remembered for one thing, what would it be?
I would want to be remembered for my faith. For trusting God even when circumstances didn’t make sense, and for using that faith to help change the world around me. I hope that one day a little girl could look at a photo of me and think, “If she could do it, then I can do it too,” and then actually go out and do it.
