How is your ministry engaging with the community today? We have an active FCA ministry on 20 campuses across Sarasota County, with over 1,800 students, coaches, and teachers attending FCA huddles each week.
What role does technology play in spreading your message? Technology plays an incredible role in our message. We utilize social media and email to share our ministry and story with our communities.
How do you support spiritual growth among your members? Weekly messages on faith, discipleship of student leaders so that they can go and disciple other students. Fields of Faith events, as well as sports camps, club, and league sports teams.
What challenges are ministries facing in the modern world? Connecting with new ministry partners as well as hiring staff to grow the ministry in the county.
How do you balance tradition with innovation in worship? Our message never changes, our mission and vision remain the same. How we execute our mission is impacted by innovation. The traditions of discipleship stay the same, relationship building, engaging, equipping and empowering looks diffrent with new innovation.
What initiatives are you leading to serve vulnerable populations? Sarasota County FCA is actively praying for and seeking to launch an All Abilities Sports Ministry. This is a ministry focused on special-needs communities, equipping and supporting them as coaches and athletes.
How can younger generations be more involved in ministry? Get involved in Middle School Huddles and Summer clubs and camps.
