Audrey’s House
- Industry: Nonprofit
What is the core mission of your organization? Audrey’s House exists to provide safe shelter, restorative care, and holistic healing for parents and children fleeing abuse, trauma, and crisis.
How do you measure impact and success in your programs? We measure success through lives impacted, community engagement, partnerships formed, resources provided, and the emotional healing and empowerment experienced by those we serve.
What are your biggest fundraising or outreach challenges? One of our biggest challenges is increasing awareness and funding while building trust in a sensitive, trauma-informed space where confidentiality and dignity are essential.
How do you build long-term relationships with donors and supporters? We build lasting relationships through transparency, authentic storytelling, community engagement, and consistently showing supporters the direct impact of their contributions.
What trends are influencing the nonprofit world today? Trauma-informed care, mental wellness, digital community-building, collaboration, and holistic approaches to healing are strongly shaping the future of nonprofit work.
Can you share a story that shows your mission in action? One of the most meaningful examples of our mission in action through is the work we are already doing to create healing-centered support systems for survivors and families, even while building toward our long-term vision. We currently provide wellness and self-care packages to individuals in need, filled with items meant to encourage comfort, restoration, and emotional support during difficult seasons.
In addition, we are actively creating community through outreach events, awareness initiatives, partnerships, healing-centered conversations, and virtual programming focused on trauma recovery, self-worth, mental wellness, and empowerment. We also work to connect individuals with supportive resources and organizations that align with holistic healing and restoration.
What makes this work especially meaningful is that many people we encounter simply want to feel seen, heard, and supported. Audrey’s House was built on the belief that healing should address the whole person—mind, body, soul, and spirit. Seeing people engage with our mission, share their stories, find encouragement, and realize they are not alone is a powerful reminder that even small acts of compassion and community can create lasting impact.
What keeps you motivated in this work? Knowing that our work has the potential to help someone feel safe, seen, valued, and hopeful again continues to fuel my passion and commitment every day.
