How long have you been in your industry?4 years
Why did you choose your industry? For more than thirty years, I built technologies, products, and businesses that helped people solve complex problems. Along the way, I realized the most meaningful part of every project wasn't the technology, it was the people behind it. The inventors who refused to give up. The leaders whose experiences shaped their communities. The entrepreneurs taking risks to build something better. The volunteers making a difference without seeking recognition. This gives me the reach to impact more people
Who are your typical clients? My work serves communities, veterans' organizations, nonprofits, schools, museums, government agencies, and local businesses. I engage with fellow innovators, and creators. Through technology, music, education, and storytelling, I develop initiatives that preserve history, strengthen communities, inspire innovation, and create meaningful connections between people
What do you like best about being in this industry?I enjoy building things that matter. The challenge of solving a problem, even when others didn't know it existed. The greatest reward isn't finishing a project; it's watching an idea take on a life of its own, bringing people together, inspiring new possibilities, and creating a positive impact that continues long after the work is done.
What are common problems you see?One of the biggest challenges is cutting through the noise. There are incredible people doing meaningful work every day, but earning attention has become harder than ever. The real challenge isn't creating something worthwhile, honestly it's keeping people engaged long enough to discover why it matters. As a small business owner, its a big hill to climb.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Start with purpose, not perfection. The best ideas rarely begin fully formed. Listen, stay curious, build something that genuinely helps others, and don't be afraid to take the first step. Momentum comes from action, not waiting for the perfect moment.
When is your busy season? My work spans all seasons and many locations. I don't slow down.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?I believe every conversation has potential. Whether I'm speaking with a CEO, a veteran, a student, or the person sitting next to me on a flight, I start by listening. Building meaningful relationships, staying curious, and looking for ways to help others has always been the best marketing strategy I've ever found. Ultimately social media is a tool and learning to leverage it has benefits.
How involved are you in the community?Giving back has become one of the most rewarding parts of my career. Whether supporting veterans, building nonprofit initiatives, volunteering at community events, mentoring innovators, or creating technology that helps people connect and learn, I believe we all have a responsibility to leave our communities stronger than we found them.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?Rather than supporting just one charity, I'm passionate about causes that help communities thrive—especially veteran support, education, disaster preparedness, animal welfare, and organizations that bring people together. Those same values have inspired many of the initiatives I'm building today.
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?I've never believed the goal was simply to build a successful career. The goal is to build a meaningful life. Keep learning, keep serving, stay curious, and when one chapter closes, don't be afraid to ask yourself the question that's guided me for years: "And then what?" If you stay focused on making a positive difference, everything else has a way of finding you.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?I enjoy being outdoors, traveling, fishing, lobstering, cycling, and an occasional round of golf, but what I value most is sharing those experiences with family and friends. I also enjoy writing music, supporting local artists and small businesses, and discovering the stories that connect people, places, and communities.
