Raising Resilience Tennessee (fka The Family Center) was founded in 1985 for the prevention of child abuse. Over the years the organization has grown along with the science to better understand the long term impact of childhood trauma on brain development and to help vulnerable children’s parents learn the information and skills to prevent and mitigate exposure. Our mission today is to empower parents to break generational patterns & provide safer, more supportive environment where children can flourish. While the majority of our programs are in Middle Tennessee, through our virtual access we also served families from 34 counties in the state of Tennessee and in California, Illinois, Kentucky, & Missouri last year.
