Realize-365
What is the biggest operational challenge that you will face in the upcoming year? Our challenge is managing the transition from an emerging company into a platform operating at enterprise Cale across multiple healthcare systems and regions. Every new market brings different workflows, integrations, and requirements. The exciting part is that we built with capacity to integrate with existing healthcare infrastructure, so the next stage is about proving that model and increasing scale.
What technologies are having the biggest impact on IT right now? AI is obviously transforming what is possible, but I think the bigger shift is what happens when AI is combine with well-structured due. In healthcare, the breakthrough is not simply asking AI a question. It is turning enormous volumes of fragmented information into something accurate, traceable and genuinely reliable. This is where we see our greatest opportunity.
How do you ensure cybersecurity and data protection across systems? We follow a Zero Trust approach: never assume access should be trusted simply because someone or something is inside the system. Every user, devise and request must be verified, access is limited to what is necessary, and sensitive healthcare data is protected throughout the entire process. in healthcare, trust has to be engineered into the platform from the ground up, not added as an afterthought. Through our partnership with Microsoft, we have access to all tools needed for stringent, secure development.
What trends are driving digital transformation? I think organizations are moving beyond simply digitizing information and asking a much more important question: how do we actually use it? Healthcare hs spent decades creating digital records, but much of that information is still difficult to access and understand. The next phase of digital transformation is making existing data intelligent, connected and useful.
How are you managing cloud infrastructure and scalability? We built Realize-365b with enterprise scale in mind from the beginning. Cloud infrastructure allows us to process very large volumes of medical information rapidly while supporting organizations of very different sizes. For us, scalability is to just about handling more users; it is about being able to move from an individual clinician to an entire hospital system without changing our platform.
What are the key skills in demand for IT professionals today? Technical ability is important, but the people who really stand out are those who can understand the problem behind the technology. In healthcare especially, you need people who can communicate across disciplines, understand users, think critically and translate real world needs into technology. Our clinical team alongside our developers have been an absolute goldmine. We struggled initially, went through 2 other development teams before finding our perfect fit.
How do you stay current in such a rapidly evolving field? We stay very close to our clients using the technology, and they have become our best advisors/cheerleaders. We learn constant from our clinicians, engineers, healthcare partners and customers. Through our Microsoft partnerships, we engage with international teams to empower and utilize all the current tools.
What’s your approach to innovation and problem-solving in IT? We start with the problem. Realize-365 was developed because I saw the enormous struggle of clinicians processing fragmented, voluminous records. It’s demoralizing to be inefficient and unable to process all the data correctly. We change that by allowing clinicians the opportunity to make the fragmented records usable in a way that empowers clinicians to make more accurate, faster diagnoses and treatments. This not only yields better job satisfaction but best patient outcomes.
