What is the biggest operational challenge that you will face in the upcoming year? My biggest challenge will be growing without losing the personal touch. Much of the business still runs through me, so I need systems that support growth while every client still gets my full presence and care. As a wife, daughter, and mom of four, I’m also protecting my time and practicing what I teach: leaning on the right tools and people, and trusting God with the rest.
What is your approach to helping clients identify and solve key challenges? I start by listening, because the challenge people bring is often not the real one underneath. Then we focus on identity, helping clients understand who they are and the gifts they carry, so they solve problems from alignment rather than fear. Finally, we get practical with consistent small steps, encouragement, and accountability, all grounded in Christian principles and real-world strategy.
How do you tailor your coaching or consulting style to different industries? The core of my coaching stays the same across industries, because identity and purpose aren’t defined by a field. What I tailor is the application: I learn each client’s culture, pressures, and expectations, and draw on my 25-plus years as an executive to build strategies that work in their real world. Ultimately, I tailor to the person, not just the industry.
What are the most common misconceptions about consulting? People often think coaching is only for those in crisis, but some of the best work happens with people who are succeeding yet sense something is missing. Others expect a coach to hand them answers, when my role is to help them discover their own clarity. And coaching isn’t a quick fix; real transformation comes through consistent small steps, grounded in faith, integrity, and perseverance.
How do you measure the success of your client engagements? I measure success on the outside and the inside. We set clear goals at the start and track progress together. But the deepest measure is seeing a client lead with confidence in who they are, make clearer decisions, and feel their work, values, and faith finally aligned. True success is a client who can keep shaping their pathway long after our work ends.
What trends are influencing the future of consulting and coaching? AI is reshaping work, which makes the human side of coaching more vital than ever. Career transitions are rising, creating a need for coaching rooted in identity and resilience. And people are hungry for purpose and wholeness; they want their work, family, and faith aligned, and coaches who can walk with them through all of it.
What’s the most rewarding part of your work? The most rewarding part is watching someone rediscover who they are. Clients often arrive feeling unseen or stuck, and then something shifts: they speak with confidence, recognize their gifts, and lead from peace instead of fear. That impact ripples out to their families, teams, and communities. For me, this work isn’t just a career; it’s a calling.
What skills do you think are essential for future consultants or coaches? Deep listening, to hear what’s beneath the surface. Self-awareness, because you can’t guide others into their identity without understanding your own. Adaptability, to embrace new tools like AI while protecting the human connection. And integrity, because clients trust us with what matters most to them.
