About Author of “Good Is Amazing” & CEO of Ready Set RecoverThrough my writing, speaking and digital health support company, I make people feel seen, heard and celebrated. I provide frameworks of inspiration, action, and control. The stories in my book and keynotes empower people to look at how they can define solid good in their lives and recognize how wonderful that is. As legendary ESPN anchor Chris Berman wrote, “‘Good Is Amazing’ reminds us that not only is our glass way more than half full…once we clearly see it that way we’ll immediately fill up another one!" Similarly, Ready Set Recover empowers surgery patients to focus on the behavioral, holistic, and logistics elements in their control pre- and post surgery; changing outcomes for patients, providers, payers and employers.
What differentiates you from the competition?Ease and voice. The competition makes it way too complicated and uninviting. I focus on the user experience and make it easy for all to be included and want to work with me. And implementation is easy as well!
What are your top selling services or products that your company offers?RSR: We’re tapping into the most untapped resource in healthcare, the patient, and changing outcomes for everyone. Book/Speaking: Validating that we’re amazing without needing to climb to the mountain top. We’re good, that’s enough. Let’s celebrate!
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?The emotional, behavioral and logistical responses we have to the plot twists in our life (including surgery) change outcome. Use Ready Set Recover/”Good Is Amazing” frameworks to respond in ways that help us, not hurt us!
What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?Fear and inertia. Healthcare has always been slow to adopt but the current environment makes every part of healthcare leery. For my book and speaking, it’s breaking through and packaging my messages in front of the right audiences.

What challenges do you see in helping people sustain healthy habits? We don’t really celebrate our achievements anymore. We might look like we do, but in our heads, our inner critics (mine is named Blanche) are loud and clear that there is so much more we need to be doing. It’s hard to sustain healthy habits when our Blanches are drowning out the praise.

What motivates you in this industry every day?People! When I talk about Ready Set Recover or even just share the title of “Good Is Amazing” I see people’s bodies change. Their shoulders fall way from their ears and they lean in and say, “YES!” with a desire for more. I feel both and opportunity and a responsibility to bring the messages to others to be a part of the revolution moving us from the “hurtcare” we currently have to actual healthcare.
