What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?Trade Labor

What challenges are you facing with labor shortages or supply chains? IIn today’s environment it is more about cost control than supply chain shortages.

How do you ensure safety on your job sites? We have a rigorous safety program that has received buy in from our Contractors to our Clients.

What role does technology play in your planning and execution? Technology is a must in today’s environment. From construction management to forecasting to post construction investigations, technology is key to staying ahead of the curve.

Can you describe a recent project that stood out to you? Downtown Investment Authority said it best in a LinkedIn post saying in part: JWB Real Estate Capital celebrated the grand reopening of The Greenleaf Building, the company’s new Downtown Jacksonville headquarters at 208 N. Laura Street. This milestone represents more than a ribbon cutting. It reflects real momentum in the urban core with businesses moving into downtown, people working downtown, and more people living downtown. Avant Construction Group delivered a high-quality historic rehabilitation that honors the character of the building while positioning it for the future. The Downtown Investment Authority was proud to support this project through funding for the historic rehabilitation and an incentive tied to JWB’s relocation of its headquarters downtown. Strategic public investment like this helps catalyze private capital, preserve our historic fabric, and bring jobs and energy into the core. As Alex Sifakis shared, “We believe that having our offices Downtown is going to help us attract the best talent so that we can continue to grow our company and grow the city… being in Downtown is going to be a huge driver for attracting talent to companies. That’s why we moved down here.”

What advice would you give to someone entering the construction field? You have to love this work to be successful in it. All days are not fun but, in the end,… the projects are rewarding!
