About Classic Floors FerrazzanoWe sell, furnish and install flooring, cabinets, countertops, pavers, blinds and specialties to medium-to-large residential builders.
What differentiates you from the competition? Most of out large competitors are owned by private equity firms. Despite our size and market share in FL, we are proud to be a family owned company!
What are your top selling services or products that your company offers?Honestly, there's nothing unique about what we do - all of our competitors use the same same products that our customers specify. What's unique about us is our team and our culture.
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?Problems happen!! When they do, you want to ensure you have whole team of folks who are expedient, efficient and capable to resolve the issues when they arise.
What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?We are not a public facing company, nor do we offer retail services - that is always the hardest marketing challenge we face.

What trends are currently shaping the construction industry? Right now, almost exclusively PRICE. Everything else is secondary…

How are you implementing sustainable building practices? We don’t get into that much. We have switched to LED lighting where we can and try to utilize technology in lieu of printing documents.

What challenges are you facing with labor shortages or supply chains? Labor has been a big issue this year. Tariffs have been a big issue this year. We are doing our best to source domestically made products when we can.

How do you ensure safety on your job sites? By following the rules and adhering to all standards in the industry.

What role does technology play in your planning and execution? A huge role. We run our own internal system to track all aspects of the homes we work in. We track them from the time the slab goes down – this helps us to schedule and order products more effectively and efficiently.

Can you describe a recent project that stood out to you? We are working with a national builder that is doing a multi-family project for the first time here in Jacksonville. It’s great to see how they come together to tackle a new challenge and get over the learning curve. It’s nice to be a part of that process.

What advice would you give to someone entering the construction field? Right now – be patient. Overall the industry is down and we are all looking forward to the return of the “good times.”
