What differentiates you from the competition?I provide custom facilitation and team building with an emphasis on relationships over revenue. Purely performance driven clients are not my specialty.
What are your top selling services or products that your company offers?Custom coaching, facilitation, and training for individuals and teams. Organizational health and leadership development are my primary areas of expertise.
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?You’re living (and leading) an unscripted adventure. Pro tip? Don’t travel alone. Lovaglia Consulting can equip you with inspiring solutions that catalyze change to navigate what you’re facing and whatever lies ahead.
What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?My consulting is not my main income stream, so not putting a lot of marketing out there. However, there are a lot of leadership coaches out there to choose from so making time to build relationships with potential clients is needed.

What is your approach to helping clients identify and solve key challenges?Empathetic listening and strategic questions in the context of relationship. It’s important to mine for underlying issues rather than address surface symptoms.

How do you tailor your coaching or consulting style to different industries? In addition to a couple team-related assessments from Table Group, I also leverage discovery meetings with the Sr Level leaders to find out what other tools/resources they’re familiar with and willing to try.

What are the most common misconceptions about consulting? That we create more work, generate lofty ideas, and have a pre-scripted set of solutions to conform to.

How do you measure the success of your client engagements?I’m big on hearing what challenges they’d like to solve and how involved their willing to be in the change they’d like to see happen. If there’s no buy-in or ownership, I’m out. The clients I do end up serving typically feel that custom, relationally-oriented solutions have more lasting impact.

What trends are influencing the future of consulting and coaching? You can get a consultant/coach for anything and everything these days. The noise of the industry can be mind numbing, so people in need of support aren’t sure where to turn. Side-hustlers that treat it like a “gig” leave a bad taste in people’s mouths because the approach is transactional vs. relational. I think the future of consulting and coaching being a combination of in-person and online/tele-session is helping it be more accessible.

What’s the most rewarding part of your work?Hearing that an idea, resource, experience impacted a client or their team 6 months later, not just the inspiration in the moment.

What skills do you think are essential for future consultants or coaches?Curiosity, empathy, humility, courage
