How long have you been in your industry?25 years
Why did you choose your industry?Leadership affects everything in our life, family, business, community. My passion is to encourage and equip every leader to grow and perform at their very best.
Who are your typical clients?C-suite leaders and their teams in multifaceted industries. I also coach several entreprenuers and individuals focused on personal growth and development.
What do you like best about being in this industry?Coaching is sacred ground, where a leader is vulnerable and courageous to grow and get better. The privilege of giving the right amount of support and challenge to help a leader grow inspires me.
What are common problems you see?Growth doesn't just happen. Leadership at every level within an organization requires intentional investment and strategy to grow leaders at every level, keeping a strong pipeline of leadership. Many leaders and companies just wing it until there's a problem.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Decide to grow. Build a ferocious and humble posture, open to feedback, willingness to learn from mistakes, and to always focus forward. Remember your 3 primary functions as a leader: 1. Champion core values 2. Develop yourself and others 3. Drive greater results!
When is your busy season?Year round
What keeps you up at night?Making sure I'm doing everything I can, for every client and team, to provide the right amount of support and challenge. Being a good steward of the time I've been blessed with to love, serve, and lead others well!
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?Much of my business growth is from word of mouth referrals, often times multiplying to different leaders at different levels within a company. I also use my speaking engagements and social media to share my story and services.
How involved are you in the community?I serve as the CEO of a not for profit, serve on the Longview Chamber of Commerce Leadership Development Program steering committee, teach young professionals at church, serve on the City of Longview Planning and Zoning Review Board.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity? Our church, Tunnels to Towers, and Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Pines
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Be clear on your purpose and who you are, staying true to your convictions and unique giftings and style. Be relentless in your presence and feedback with your clients. Lead yourself well so you can lead others.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Fitness, family, outdoors, grilling, traveling with my wife
