How long have you been in your industry?0.5 years
Why did you choose your industry?I didn't, it feels like the industry chose me. I was asked to be an agent for my filmmaker and the rest is really history.
Who are your typical clients?None, currently.
What do you like best about being in this industry?That I get to be sincerely helpful, creative, strategic, a connector, a project manager, and much more... as opposed to a hacker that tells people they have an ugly baby (like an outdated server operating system).
What are common problems you see?Snake oil that I have to demystify due to business owners being burned in the past by people running a similar business. Empty promises with no data to back up the claims. I have been hearing about this from numerous business owners.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?I am not sure yet.
When is your busy season?N/a
What keeps you up at night?Having two jobs and being unable to attend most morning connection meetups that would get me in front of a certain demographic.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?This is not applicable for now. Still building this machine.
How involved are you in the community?I am a part of NextUp Jax and join them on cleanups, I am the founder/leader of the Altruist's Club in Landstar, and I start initiatives when I see an opportunity (my personal favorite, as I get to be involved directly with making that difference and see the person's face).
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?Personally leading projects. If I absolutely had to donate to a single charity, it'd be for kids that are less fortunate or suicide prevention in veterans.
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Don't give up. It is going to absolutely suck some days, it will show in your demeanor too. Don't let it. Keep your chin up, stay optimistic, and push on.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Board games with the family.
