How long have you been in your industry?42 years
Why did you choose your industry?Highest paying job I could get - Driving a truck !! Joined UPS for a Christmas break peak helper, became a driver, thought I would only work that job for a year and start my own company. Took a while, but have finally started my own firm.
Who are your typical clients?Fleets, AV companies, several players in the supply chain ecosystem.
What do you like best about being in this industry?I have been in it for over 40 years, we are about to see more disruption and change in the next 5 years, than I saw in the last 40.
What are common problems you see?Fragmented, not optimized, and the core industries that were the foundation are eroding.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Be ready to adapt. What you do now, will "set your table" for year 3 to 5. It is a risk avoiding industry, but doing nothing right now may actually present your company with the most risk!
When is your busy season?Seasonal Peaks and valleys depending on the vertical.
What keeps you up at night?Nothing.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?Continue to add value to the supply chain ecosystem.
How involved are you in the community?Church, Coach advanced and rec baseball teams for 11 and 12 year olds.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?my church
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?It is filled with hardworking people - develop the relationships with the people doing the work on the front lines. If you really enjoy it, it will never feel like work!
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Granddad!!
