How long have you been in your industry?14 years
Why did you choose your industry?I chose this field because it allows me to make a meaningful impact on women's health at multiple levels. As an OBGYN, obesity specialist, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon, I have the opportunity to address complex medical issues, improve quality of life, and empower patients through personalized care. I’m passionate about combining surgical expertise with a focus on metabolic health to provide comprehensive solutions that enhance both reproductive and overall well-being.
Who are your typical clients? My typical clients include women seeking preventive care, medical and surgical gynecology, as well as both men and women looking to achieve metabolic balance through weight loss and hormonal therapy. I focus on providing personalized, evidence-based care to help my patients improve their overall health.
What do you like best about being in this industry? What I love most about being in this field is the industry to transform lives by addressing both reproductive health and metabolic well-being. As a women's health specialist and obesity medicine physician, I get to help patients regain control over their health, whether through minimally invasive gynecologic procedures, preventive care, or metabolic interventions.
What are common problems you see?A major challenge in this industry is the dominance of corporate medicine and the high cost of healthcare, which often put profits over patient care. Insurance hurdles, like prior authorizations and denials, delay or block necessary treatments, making quality care inaccessible for many. That's why we offer something different—patient-centered, transparent direct specialty care.
What advice/tips do you have for clients? My advice to clients is to seek care from specialists who have dedicated additional training and expertise in their field. As an OBGYN with fellowship training, I’ve seen firsthand how specialized knowledge leads to better outcomes, whether in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery or obesity medicine. When choosing a provider, look for someone with advanced training who understands the complexities of your condition and can offer the most effective, up-to-date treatments. Specialty care ensures a higher level of expertise, personalized attention, and a more comprehensive approach.
When is your busy season?End the year.
What keeps you up at night?Unfinished work.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?I focus on growing my practice through meaningful connections—both with the community and other healthcare providers. Building strong relationships with referring physicians, specialists, and healthcare professionals helps ensure patients receive the right care at the right time. I also engage with the community through educational events, social media, and direct outreach.
How involved are you in the community?I stay actively involved in my community through outreach, neighborhood engagement, and educational talks focused on women's health, hormone balance, and weight management. By hosting and participating in local events, I aim to empower individuals with knowledge about their health and provide guidance on preventive care and metabolic wellness.
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business? For anyone considering a career in this field, my advice is to seek out strong mentorship, pursue specialized training, and stay committed to lifelong learning. Medicine—especially women’s health and obesity medicine—requires both technical expertise and a deep understanding of patient-centered care. It’s important to build relationships within the medical community.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?In my free time, I enjoy staying active, whether it's through fitness, outdoor activities, or exploring new ways to promote wellness in my own life. I also love connecting with my community, spending time with family and friends, and continuously learning—whether through reading, professional development, or attending conferences.
