How long have you been in your industry?15 Years
Why did you choose your industry?I didn’t set out to practice aviation law — but with a background in Army aviation and experience at GE Aerospace, it quickly became a natural fit. What drew me to the law was the challenge of applying logic, persuasion, and real-world context to help people solve problems. Aviation law allows me to do exactly that — combining technical knowledge, business insight, and advocacy to help clients navigate complex issues and reach their goals.
Who are your typical clients? Our typical client is anyone navigating the business, regulatory, or legal complexities of general aviation. We represent a wide range of stakeholders — from aircraft owners, flight instructors, and charter operators to flight schools, FBOs, maintenance shops, and aviation insurers. Whether they’re growing a business, resolving a dispute, or protecting their operations, we help aviation profession
What do you like best about being in this industry? What I enjoy most is the mix of complexity and real-world impact. Aviation clients face unique legal, business, and technical challenges, and I get to apply both my legal training and firsthand aviation experience to help them move forward. It’s fast-paced, collaborative, and deeply rewarding work.
What are common problems you see?General aviation clients face a range of legal challenges — from regulatory compliance and liability issues to contract disputes, aircraft ownership complexities, and insurance claims. Many operate with tight margins and high risk, so clear legal guidance is essential to protect their operations and investments.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Aviation is a high-risk, high-investment industry, and costly mistakes often come from unclear agreements or delayed legal guidance. Proactive planning protects your operations and your bottom line. While AI and tech tools can help, they’re no substitute for experienced, strategic legal advice.
When is your busy season? It is pretty steady year round.
What keeps you up at night? What keeps me up at night is knowing that some clients may be relying on internet advice or DIY solutions instead of seeking timely, tailored legal guidance. Aviation is a complex and highly regulated space — waiting too long to ask for help can turn small issues into expensive problems.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?I focus on building strong relationships with local aviation businesses and organizations — because trust and connection drive long-term growth. I’m intentional about creating opportunities to meet people where they are, whether that’s through networking events, community engagement, or simply showing up consistently in aviation spaces.
How involved are you in the community?I am an active member of the Florida Army National Guard and I support local charity organizations that support our local community, such as Foodies Care.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?Tunnel to Towers and Folds of Honor
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Success in this industry — like most things — comes from tenacity and consistency. It’s not about quick wins; it’s about showing up every day, doing the work, and building meaningful relationships along the way. The people you surround yourself with often shape the opportunities that come your way.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Running, Reading, Golfing and spending time with family
