Why did you choose your industry?I chose carpentey as a spur of the moment decision to find a career that could support me and my family. To my surprise, I discovered I really liked working with my hands. While I was an apprentice, i took some odd jobs on the side to make some extra money, and found my passion for home repair, remodel, and general Handy-man work.
Who are your typical clients?Pretty much everybody
What do you like best about being in this industry?Meeting new people, and giving genuine quality and honest sevice to those who need it.
What are common problems you see?A lot of people with the bare minimum knowledge and skills, trying to pass themselves off as "professional handyman"
When is your busy season?Summer
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?As of right now, mostly word of mouth.
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Dont just jump into it. Take some time to refine you skills and gain practical knowledge by actually working in a related trade.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Spending time with my family
