How long have you been in your industry?25 years
Why did you choose your industry?Because the investment training options out there lacked in person, one on one training that is essential for success. I fix that problem for the few who get the opportunity to work with me.
Who are your typical clients?I've trained doctors, lawyers, accountants, ex-cons, welders, carpenters, plumbers, etc. What I'm looking for is motivation. That is the key to success. Your background and education don't matter.
What do you like best about being in this industry?I solve problems for people all day. If I'm working on a deal I'm solving a problem or problems for a seller. If I'm training someone, I'm helping them solve their financial problems.
What are common problems you see?Ignorance is huge. There is no class on how to make money or buy real estate in school and since we all want to make money and buy real estate there should be.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Don't sell your house if you don't have to. Refinance instead to get your down payment for your next house and keep the house as a rental. Do that five times in your lifetime and you can retire wealthy and easy.
When is your busy season?Usually January and February is when people seek to change their lives.
What keeps you up at night? Those clients who don't take my advice and suffer because of it.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?I don't do a lot because I don't want this to be a huge business. I want to do this part time as I work my own real estate deals because I truly love it. Mostly online ads here and there.
How involved are you in the community?I help several people save their homes without any compensation each year.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?www.autismspeaks.org because my son is autistic
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Get a good mentor who has worked in several states. Pay them whatever they ask and do exactly as they say. It will be the smartest move that will save you the most time and money you can ever imagine.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Playing with my kids, reading, working out, kung fu
