How long have you been in your industry?17 years
Why did you choose your industry?After yet another downsizing in the IT world - during the sub-prime crisis I decided a change was needed and just fell into marketing and event production.
Who are your typical clients?B2B companies selling high ticket products/services using a consultative sales approach and requiring a consistent stream od Sales Qualified prospects.
What do you like best about being in this industry?It combines the parts of IT I still love, it's constantly changing, and with my background I am actually able to help companies scale without fail.
What are common problems you see?With AI now being leveraged in marketing - exeryone things with a years experience they are suddenly experts.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?If you aren't prepared to conduct the market research and use that as your basis for marketing, just stop wasting your money.
When is your busy season?All the time.
What keeps you up at night?Clients that want better results faster, but don't understand the process that is required.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?Mostly on LinkedIn through direct outreach and word of mouth.
How involved are you in the community?I offer a lot of free advice and coaching for those willing to listen. I also do my best to promote local businesses that are providing great service.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?Make a Wish
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Leran marketing, or any other discimpline, before you try to automate it. Otherwise you usually get poor processes that run fast.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?I watch a lot of YouTube educational video's.
