How long have you been in your industry?5 years
Why did you choose your industry? We have the real opportunity to help businesses and not just make money off of them by bringing integrity to an industry that has lacked it for a long time. By being independent we are able to sit on the same side of the table as our clients and truly advocate for them to find a custom solution.
Who are your typical clients?Businesses that take credit cards for payments. Whether in person or online we have custom solutions for all. If they are a national chain or a stay at home mom with a side hustle we can help them!
What do you like best about being in this industry?I love helping others into this business to help them take control of their own lives. We are developing an entire model to help others get started and create their own book of residual income. This is a business that can literally create a legacy for future generations.
What are common problems you see?Captive agents that work for a single processing bank trying to fit a merchant into a solution that 'Kind of " works for them. Basically getting them something off of the rack that sort of fits. The client has to settle and then gets frustrated. Also hidden junk fees. Most are surprised to see how much they are ACTUALLY paying.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Find someone independent like me to do a real objective audit of their statement. If you have the best deal I will 100% tell you. If not we can work together to find a Custom solution tailored for your business with the end goal of eliminating the majority of the fees that they pay and get that money working for them to put back into their business to grow and scale!
When is your busy season?end of the year when businesses are meeting with their bookkeepers going over next years budgets and considering Price increase roll outs
What keeps you up at night? Most Merchants have a vision of what we do based on negative past experiences and cannot believe that we are 180 degrees different. If they would just be open
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?Word of mouth and referral partners mostly. We are developing a more robust referral partner program to be rolled out this summer. It will not only create business but also help others start and run their own businesses.
How involved are you in the community?Outside of the 10-12 hours a week my wife and I both volunteer at our Church, Creekside Christian Church in St Johns Florida, We donate 25% of every dollar of profit. 25% of all of our profit generated from every account is donated to a Nonprofit of that merchants choice monthly on their behalf. We donate money every month to Churches and nonprofits that align with our worldviews.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?Heifer International and K9s for Warriors
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Contact ME!!!! Get involved with someone independent. Think of Insurance. You want to work with an independent Broker so you have more options for solutions to offer your clients. If you work for Allstate, you can only sell what Allstate has to offer and you may have to tell a client no. We never have to say no unless we choose to.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Helping others build businesses and financial independence.
