Why did you choose your industry?I found I had a knack for computer related work while I was serving in the U.S. Navy after high school graduation. I returned to college, earned a degree in computer and information systems, and the rest is history!
Who are your typical clients?We work with a spectrum of clients seeking both consulting and training support. As well, we support start-ups through CodeLaunch Accelerator.
What do you like best about being in this industry?Helping people solve their problems.
What are common problems you see?Making work visible, building shared understanding about the work being done, and effectively communicating how work is progressing toward desired outcomes.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Listen to your teams, actively listen and to build shared understanding. Go to the place where work is being performed. Empower your teams to act in the best interest of the company or organization.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?We have a marketing department that covers the organization. We encourage our consultants to share their experiences through meetups, conferences, social channels, and other channels.
How involved are you in the community?I serve on the Dallas Conscious Capitalism chapter board, speak at meetups, and support product development professionals online.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?Agile for Patriots
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Creating content on LinkedIn.
