How long have you been in your industry?15+
Why did you choose your industry?I choose the tech industry as it allowed me to bring creative solutions to large technical problems. I continued to build my own company as it allows me to help individuals at a global scale.
Who are your typical clients? My typical clients are other businesses.
What do you like best about being in this industry?Tech truly allows you to reach out and connect with a multitude of people gathering insights and understanding of many different points of view and cultures.
What are common problems you see?A disconnect between the technical teams and management. Many times management will commit to things or promise a customer something to get a sale and then the technical team has to rush to deploy a solution to the customer. Due to the rush the solution is subpar.Culture clashes between globally diverse teams.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Get to know your customers. Put them first and innovate / iterate in their best interest every day.
When is your busy season?24/7/365
What keeps you up at night? The unknown unknowns, and how to keep a competitive edge / advantage.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?I market myself through social networking, professional networking, business competitions, linkedin, and mentorship work.
How involved are you in the community?I built a 380+ person charity in Seattle where we supported Fair Start, Mary's house, and PAWs.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?Justicere Form Foundation
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business? For a tech startup grow with the company and learn all you can. You need to learn how to diplomatically bridge the gap between management and tech to deliver a stable solution. Also, practice and develop impeccable customer service skills. You would be surprised how you can influence a customer through effective and empathic communication.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?I enjoy listening to audible, engaging with friends, and traveling.
