Why did you choose your industry?I wanted to be an actress, but my college professors said I was too dramatic, so I switched to Speech Communications. From General Electric to Elkman Advertising and PR to Burson-Marsteller, I gained experience in traditional marketing. Having worked for agencies large and small, I gained experience across a wide range of industry sectors. I expanded my practice to include published writing, business consulting, career coaching and speaking.
Who are your typical clients?Startups, individuals, those in middle management, and technology
What do you like best about being in this industry?The ability to expand and grow my career
What are common problems you see?1. Lack of knowledge about modern hiring practices2. People defining themselves by their current skillset 3. Fear of AI 4. A lack of understanding of soft skills5. Imposter syndrome6. Not staying ahead of industry trends7. Selling instead of building relationships
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Identify your soft skills since 92% of CEO's say that soft skills are as important or more important than hard skills in hiring.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?I just moved to a new home so working on that.
