St. Johns County, FL – The Florida Camino Passport is available at First Coast Cultural Center, enabling its holder to step back in time and follow a path once traveled by 17th Century Spanish pilgrims.

FCCC is located on the First Coast route of the Camino, a network of local, historical trails marking the Spanish presence in America. The $10 passport can be purchased at First Coast Cultural Center, and it enables present-day travelers to document their journey, receiving stamps at designated stops along the way.

“It is exciting that our Cultural Center is an official landmark along this route,” remarks Donna Guzzo, FCCC’s CEO and President. “It’s going to bring many visitors through our community who like to explore history and cultural diversity.”

Guzzo particularly likes that there is an educational piece to this program. She states FCCC plans to create a designated exploration room with an informational video for visitors who want to delve deeper into the history and significance of the Camino, locally and overseas.

The Camino originated in Spain, and there are many museums, monuments, and archaeological sites found along the different paths. Later, the Camino was extended to the Americas, creating a spiritual and cultural path from Santiago, Chile, to St. Augustine, Florida.

To enhance the pilgrimage experience, participants can obtain essential resources through the Camino App or the website, which has an option at the top right of the home page to view in five different languages.

FCCC is located at 6000B Sawgrass Village Circle, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, 32082. For more about the Camino and other FCCC programs and events, visit: www.firstcoastculturalcenter.org.
