Welcome to Living My Faith, a weekly show that celebrates the everyday believers who are walking with Jesus, not just on Sundays, but in every area of their lives. From relationships and parenting to health, habits, and home, our guests share how they keep their faith at the center of it all. Hosted in Jacksonville, Florida, and supported by Christ-centered partners, Living My Faith is a space where real life meets real faith. Today, our host, Morgan Yonge, spoke with Dillon Caswell of Hope Not Nope.

Short company description:
Hope Not Nope uses the 3 part strategy of hope to empower, educate, and coach high performers to reach their potential and have the highest quality of life.
Can you share a moment or experience that significantly deepened or shaped your faith journey?
When I started in high performance, I was managing a business out of a local gym. There was a sign on the building that read “hope.” The wind constantly knocked it loose, and I repeatedly climbed ladders, even during a snowstorm when I once jumped from a dumpster to the roof to fix it. There were many times I wanted to give up and take it down. But that sign ended up being the reason my now wife joined the gym when she was searching for hope. Through that experience, God taught me the importance of perseverance, faithfulness in small things, and trusting His plan. Not long after, I went full time with Hope Not Nope, released my book, got baptized, and got married.
In what ways do you actively live out your faith in your daily life — at work, home, or in your community?
The biggest way I live out my faith is by being obedient to what the Lord is asking of me, seeking the kingdom first in all that I do. That allows me to give up trying to control my own plan and submit to His, which He has shown me time and time again that His plan is greater than mine. In doing that, I get to live joyful with a foundation of Hope which allows me to serve others.
What encouragement or scripture has been especially meaningful to you in this season, and why?
I always go back to Romans 5:3-5. From my “sign story” that taught me perseverance to starting the business and writing the book. This scripture reminds me to give glory to God first, especially when faced with “Nope”, to persevere, grow in character, and hope. This scripture shows that hope is not wishful thinking. Hope is learned and earned. And hope does not disappoint.
What advice would you give to someone who’s struggling to live out their faith or looking to grow spiritually?
I think sometimes people struggle to grow spiritually because they have read about the glory of God, but maybe haven’t felt it yet because they are in the nope and have not quite gotten to hope yet. That’s where understanding hope as a strategy and not just wishful thinking is a game-changer. Prayerfully sit down and identify where you can exercise self-agency, what goal you want to establish, and a framework to help get you there.

Welcome back to another episode of Living My Faith, where we highlight those who are making Kingdom Impact. I’m Morgan Yonge, joined today by Dylan Caswell with Hope Not. What is it?
Speaker 2:
Hope. Hope Not Nope.
Speaker 1:
Hope Not Nope. Yeah. Dylan, thank you for being here. Tell me about Hope Not Nope.
Speaker 2:
Absolutely. So the “nopes” are the things that we face that tempt us into the biggest nope of all, which is doubt. Doubting our faith, doubting hope, which is a God-given virtue that allows us to believe in the promise that God has for our life.
What we’ve noticed is that although hope is a God-given virtue, we’re tempted in a broken world to start accepting the nopes that are placed upon our lives and not living to our full potential.
So Hope Not is using a strategy of self-agency goals and a framework for us to live the experience of that God-given hope. We really look at the fact that we can’t get rid of nope, but we can help replace it with what God gave us, which is hope.
Speaker 1:
Yeah, He is our living hope. I absolutely love that. So how are you living your faith day to day?
Speaker 2:
I will say, since being baptized in 2023, living my faith each day has just been so fruitful and amazing and allows me to live joyfully.
The simple answer is that the biggest smile about my faith is being obedient to what the Lord is asking of me, seeking the Kingdom first in all that I do. This really allows me to start giving up control of my own plan and submit to His, which He’s shown me time and time again is much greater than mine.
He took this small-town kid who had writing and speech problems and brought him to earning a doctorate degree, writing a book, and speaking to people all over the world. I know that’s only possible because of being obedient and trusting in Him.
So I’m so thankful for that, because living the faith means we get to live joyfully even when we face affliction.
Speaker 1:
Yeah, it’s so true, and I love that answer. It really is a day-to-day experience building that relationship with Him. Are there any verses or scripture passages that have stood out to you lately?
Speaker 2:
The one that really anchors me is Romans 5:3–5. That scripture says not only that, but we even boast in our afflictions, knowing that affliction produces endurance, and endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope—and hope does not disappoint.
This one really anchors me because it shows us that hope is not just wishful thinking. The world tells us that hope is wishful thinking, that you’re crazy for believing that. But this scripture grounds us in the truth that hope is a God-given virtue.
It doesn’t mean we won’t face affliction or suffering, but like Saint Paul who wrote this scripture, we can boast in it and be joyful because we know the celebration that’s coming.
Speaker 1:
Yeah, absolutely. The battle has already been won. There is a lot to celebrate when you are of the faith. So tell me, what’s something you’re looking forward to with Hope Not? Nope.
Speaker 2:
There are a lot of exciting things. We get to work with many high performers, which has been exciting, but I’m especially excited to be speaking at a men’s conference in Tampa Bay this February on Valentine’s Day weekend.
My wife is very excited about that because we’re in upstate New York, and Valentine’s Day weekend in sunny Tampa Bay, Florida is a big win for her.
I’m excited to speak the truth of hope to a large group of men at this conference and lead them away from limiting doubts and back into their faith so they can truly experience hope.
Speaker 1:
It’s beautiful and so exciting. Florida is great—highly recommend. You’re going to have an awesome time. If people want to purchase Hope Not Nope, how can they do that?
Speaker 2:
It’s available on Amazon and basically anywhere you buy books. You can get it in physical form, audiobook, or e-book—whatever format you prefer.
Speaker 1:
Awesome. Thank you so much, Dylan. I appreciate your time. And thank you for tuning in to another episode of Living My Faith. If you want more information, head over to LivingMyFaith.com, and we’ll see you next time.
