Welcome to Living My Faith, a weekly show that celebrates the everyday believers who are walking with Jesus, not just on Sundays, but in every area of their lives. From relationships and parenting to health, habits, and home, our guests share how they keep their faith at the center of it all. Hosted in Jacksonville, Florida, and supported by Christ-centered partners, Living My Faith is a space where real life meets real faith. Today, our host, Morgan Yonge, spoke with Jennifer Benton of Jenetic Marketing.

Short company description:
Jenetic Marketing is a boutique brand and content strategy studio dedicated to helping nonprofits, small businesses, creative professionals, and ministry leaders communicate with clarity, confidence, and impact.
Can you share a moment or experience that significantly deepened or shaped your faith journey?
I have so many moments it’s hard to choose one. Jesus has been a big part of my life, all of my life. I think a defining moment for me was when I was 18. I had been struggling with Scoliosis since age 10 and needed surgery. The operation was extensive (8 hours long) and the recovery was supposed to take at least 6 months. I was told I’d have to learn how to walk again, how to sit, etc. But God…!! My mother and co-pastor stayed with me and they played worship music nonstop. By the third day of recovery, I asked to walk. After some hesitation, my doctor agreed to let me try with assistance. I took my first steps that day and walked down the hall a few times. The next day, I asked again and they allowed me to walk on my own. This experience showed me that God would actually do what He said. Prior to the surgery, a man of God told me to have the surgery and that God would heal me. I didn’t understand it at first but God sped up my recovery to the point that I have the fastest documented recovery for that particular spinal procedure at Rainbow Children’s hospital in Cleveland, OH.
In what ways do you actively live out your faith in your daily life — at work, home, or in your community?
I’m an evangelist to my core. I love to inspire and encourage people through storytelling—specifically my stories of how the goodness of God has consistently shown up in my life. Anytime I can inspire someone to believe in God, I do it.
What encouragement or scripture has been especially meaningful to you in this season, and why?
In this season, Psalm 37:25 has been my reality. In the aftermath of losing most of my closest family (including my parents) in death, I’ve seen God guide me and carry me through it all. Right in the midst of the loss, I was laid off and had to venture into entrepreneurship. Even through that uncertainty, we never went without a home, clothes or food. Then to see God open a door in a new city that brought financial increase and stability… He has proven this scripture over and over again in my life.
What advice would you give to someone who’s struggling to live out their faith or looking to grow spiritually?
Learn to see God in the small things and steer clear of comparison. Trusting God is like riding a bike. It takes time to build our faith up and that’s okay. The more we exercise our faith, the bigger it gets and more we can see that God really is working on our behalf no matter how big or small the problem is.

Morgan:
Welcome back to another episode of “Living My Faith”, where we highlight those who are faith-based and making Kingdom impact. I’m Morgan Yonge, joined today by Jennifer Benton with Jenetic Marketing. Jennifer, thank you so much for joining today.
Jennifer:
Thank you, Morgan, for having me. I’m excited to be here.
Morgan:
Yes, so you are making Kingdom impact by helping ministry leaders and churches grow with their marketing and their web presence. So tell me a little bit more about that.
Jennifer:
Yeah. So Jenetic Marketing is my marketing consultancy, and we work with a lot of faith based organizations, churches, nonprofits. I’m always helping my fellow ministers and people in ministry amplify their voice online. So building the audience, building community, and also having a presentation that really speaks to the masses.
Morgan:
That is incredible. You were telling me a little bit off set about the work that you had to do during COVID and how you helped these churches transition into the digital realm. Will you tell us more about that?
Jennifer:
Yes. I want to highlight one church in particular. Shout out to Mount Hermon Baptist Church in West Philadelphia. They were 93 years old when the pandemic happened. As you can imagine, as an older church, they didn’t always have all the digital aspects. And so I helped them get their entire digital suite up and running, and that went from live stream to digital giving.
Jennifer:
Also building a Facebook group for them, updating their website, text messaging, all the things that were digital that they needed. And they’ve been able to thrive since then. We actually looked at the numbers. There were about 125 members at that time, and they did not lose anyone during the pandemic. And that was because we were able to build that digital suite for them and keep all the members connected.
Morgan:
That is fantastic, and it’s so funny, you have to be careful saying “West Philedelphia” to a Millennial when we all grew up on Fresh Prince.
Jennifer:
You know? Yes. And where the church is located, it’s actually not far from where he grew up. It’s in the Overbrook section. And he went to Overbrook High School. So he went to school with the bishop of that church. So have a little bit of, you know, six degrees of separation.
Morgan:
For real, I love it. So tell me about all the different things you offer in your marketing because I know it’s more than one aspect.
Jennifer:
Yes. So brand strategy. I actually just completed my creating brand value certification through Harvard Business School, so I’m excited to use that. And I’ve been helping pastors with their branding presence for a long time. So adding some more expertise to that as well as live stream strategies, social media management, email marketing. It’s a lot, but we try to streamline it and keep it tailored to what our clients need.
Morgan:
Well, that’s fantastic. So, I want to hear a little more about you now. How are you personally living your faith?
Jennifer:
Oh, I live my faith every single day. I’m a church kid, born and raised in the Church of God in Christ denomination, fourth generation. As we like to say, we like to call our generations. And I grew up in a household where I saw my mother and my grandparents live their faith, and it just inspired me from a young age.
Jennifer:
So always keep God at the center of my life. As a mother myself, I have two children, two girls, I just live a life of prayer and worship in our home. And I don’t believe in waiting to get to church to worship the Lord. We worship at home, and we take God with us wherever we go.
Jennifer:
And so God is first and foremost in our lives. And, you know, any time, if you ain’t got my house, you’re going to see me singing, praying something in response to God’s presence in my life.
Morgan:
Amen to that, I love to hear it. That’s exactly what my house is like, I love it so much. Good for you.
Jennifer:
Yes.
Morgan:
As a Christian, that’s the way you deepen your relationship with Him. He’s such a good father, you want to be close with Him, so I love it. Tell me, what’s a Bible verse or a passage that has stuck out to you recently?
Jennifer:
Oh, my. My favorite is… it’s in Philippians, and I just skips my mind, but it talks about how God will bring His good work to completion. And it just reminds me that, you know, whatever God starts in our lives, He’s not going to leave us half done. He’s not going to leave us hanging. But whatever that good work is, He’s going to finish it, and we’re going to be able to live on that finished result.
Morgan:
Absolutely, it’s so true. He’s a good father, and he wants to help us, especially when it’s for the Kingdom.
Jennifer:
Yes.
Morgan:
He wants to help propel us forward in that. Well, thank you so much for your time, for being with us today, and for the great work you’re doing for these churches and ministries.
Jennifer:
Thank you, Morgan, for having me. It’s been a pleasure.
Morgan:
