How long have you been in your industry?2.5 years
Why did you choose your industry? To amplify the voices of those impacted by MS, raise awareness, and drive meaningful change toward ending MS once and for all.
Who are your typical clients?Podcast listeners, those with MS or other chronic diseases. People who like to hear, inspiring stories and business or an individual looking to sponsor a worthwhile nonprofit organization. I also speak occasionally at MS Functions.
What do you like best about being in this industry?Giving people a platform to share their stories is incredibly rewarding. Our podcast not only inspires listeners, but also drives real impact—raising awareness, building community, and generating critical funding for MS research.
What are common problems you see?Consistent funding for MS research is a major challenge. It can also be difficult to break through the noise and grow an audience. Every listener matters because each download helps amplify our message, raise funds, and push for lasting impact.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Love what you do and ensure the story is about the individual and not yourself. Most importantly, tell a story.
When is your busy season? Our busy season runs from March through November, aligning with event season.
What keeps you up at night?Wondering if I’m doing enough—if the podcast is truly reaching people, and if our fundraising efforts are moving the needle toward a cure or meaningful change for those living with MS.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business? We leverage support from the National MS Society, promote through Facebook, LinkedIn, other Social Media Platforms, and drive traffic to our website, www.bike-ms.com. Collaborations and community engagement also play a key role in expanding our audience and impact. We also do get a lot of word of mouth promotions. Plus, our guest will share their podcast on their social media platforms.
How involved are you in the community?I serve on the Board of Trustees for the National MS Society in North Florida,. I am part of Team Spanish Beer in Bike MS. (I am cycling in 6 Bike MS events across the US, including CO, WI, KY, GA, FL) We host community events, partner with local businesses, and use our podcast to elevate the voices of those living with MS—raising both funds and awareness with every mile, episode, and connection.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity? The National MS Society—because ending MS is deeply personal to me
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Podcasting takes commitment, but if you’re passionate and have meaningful stories to share, go for it. Be ready to listen, learn, and lead with heart. Sharing stories that inspire change is one of the most powerful contributions you can make.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?I love cycling—especially when it connects me to a larger purpose. I’m also passionate about animal rescue and often volunteer for transport. In my downtime, I enjoy catching up with friends over good music. And in the fall, you’ll find me cheering on the Denver Broncos and Colorado Avalanche—I’m a proud and loyal fan. Go Avalanche, sorry FL teams
