About Beau BrownI'm a freelance audio guy and a big believer in mentoring and having mentors. I host production hangs at our warehouse where we share knowledge and experiences with each other. I provide sound, lights and video production for events and concerts. I also do some touring with a few artists.
What differentiates you from the competition?I believe in extreme quality, serving the client's vision and am a constant learner always looking for ways to improve.
What are your top selling services or products that your company offers?I do good work, I don't bring drama to work, I serve my clients and there is only one of me.
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?I always do my best to serve my client's vision.
What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?Informing the right people about our monthly training events.

How do you see the role of performing arts evolving in today’s culture? The arts are one of the purest forms of human expression and helping to facilitate sharing those moments between artist and listeners is a huge blessing to me. With the speed of technological change, having well trained engineers is essential and mentoring others is the only way to pass along the wisdom that comes from experience.

What inspires your creative process? Watching the joy as people soak up live music and musicians play is truly awe inspiring. Getting to play a part in that is amazing!

What’s been your most memorable project or performance and why? I got to record the Jaguar’s Drum line several years ago. I’ve mixed lots of shows with so many great bands at magical venues like The Spirit of Suwanee Music Park, The Amp, Seawalk and Blue Jay Listening room. I recently mixed monitors for Grace Potter and had Kenny Chesney as a guest artist. I’ve been involved with churches in Jax for 26 years.

How has technology influenced live performance and entertainment? It’s interesting to see how the ease of access to technology has impacted the industry. In the olden days, you spent years doing the hard work and looking over someones shoulder until you got a shot. With digital audio, anyone can learn a lot from their bedroom with a computer and less than $50 investment. What is lacking is the history and mentorship, which is why I’m trying to instill that in the younger techs I meet.

What advice would you give to emerging artists? It’s a job, act professional when you are on the job.

How do you stay connected with your audience? Mostly Instagram and personal communication
