What trends are emerging in health/life/property insurance? Property insurance, especially in Florida, remains at near crisis levels and Insurance Carriers are very slow to open up the market. When you add that to deceptive claims handling practices (see 60 minutes from Nov 2024), it makes for a very tough environment for insureds to navigate.
How do you address public misconceptions about insurance? The Agent/Broker is the middle person between the Carrier and the insured.
Insurance is complicated to most folks……make sure to use the Agent/Broker to communicate the details to you. Make sure they truly know their craft.
What role does data analytics play in your operations? They are essential in assessing potential risk and how to avoid such risk going forward.
What advice do you have for people navigating insurance for the first time? Work with a qualified, dedicated Agent/Broker.
Ask lots of questions and involve your Agent/Broker with all interactions with the Carrier……..that’s their job.
